Donna Freitas “Time to Stop Hooking Up. (You Know You Want to.)” First appeared as an editorial in the Washington Post in 2013. In this essay Freitas aims to convince her readers that hooking up may seem easy and less stress than a real relationship, but in reality they become unhappy, confused, and unfulfilled in their sex life. “Hookups are all about throwing off the bonds of relationships and dating for carefree sex” personal experience, compare and contrast are a few techniques Freitas skillfully uses to strong convincing essay.
Last week, Katera was taken into temporary custody and later released to Centerstone of Illinois. Kaella reported an argument ensued after Katera was denied permission to go to a friend’s residence located in Harrisburg over the weekend. Kaella moved from Harrisburg to her current address a few months ago. The argument started inside the residence. Kaella was in her bedroom and Katera was in her bedroom. Katera entered her mother’s bedroom screaming and yelling. Kaella could not control her daughter’s behavior. Katera hit her mother on the backside of the torso with a pot taken from the kitchen and threatened to kill her. Kaella remanded her young son to run into the kitchen and gather all the knives and kitchen utensils so that Katera could not get to them. At this point, Kaella called 911 for help. Kaella ordered Katera to go outside until the police arrived. Katera went outside and took out her anger on the vehicle. I did not observe any obvious damage to the vehicle that appeared
Matt’s Stapleton agrees that his wife Kelli has gone insane due to the beatings she has face from her daughter due to the autistic disease. Matt says he wishes for the best for her and Kelli must face the consequences. Even though Kelli appear in a Dr. Phil television show stating her lawyer told her that the T.V. interview might have ruined her chances to the case (Rosin). This gives Kelli a slight chance to fail the case, by telling information to the audience and the attention to the media. In Kelli mind it’s acceptable for parents to complain about, how they feel oppressed by their children. It’s mostly clear that Kelli wanted to, “appear on the Dr. Phil show to her own publicity rather than most tell people on how raising an autistic child helps” (Rosin). Later on thought the Dr. Phil show Kelli attorneys would mention that if Kelli would not do anything about saving her life Kelli had the possibility of facing the death penalty her friends were suggesting for her

In this paper I am writing about marriage and infidelity in modern life and the books we have read in class. Marriage is a mutual bond in which a man and a woman decide to be with each other until they die. Infidelity is basically when the man or woman in a relationship cheat on the other person, without them knowing.
This essay will examine my thoughts and those of David Sterrit on the critically acclaimed television show The Honeymooners. First, I will talk about the Honeymooners and it’s setting in postwar America. Secondly, the social and cultural issues the series portrayed. Next, would be the psychological perspective and the aesthetics of the show. Finally, the essay would conclude with my thoughts on how the Honeymooners were impacted by these aspects, but also how the show managed to leave a legacy in television today.

Two years later Janet and Bruce are still fighting in court over who gets what and fighting over whom gets full custody of Brandon. After their divorce was final Brandon was twelve-years-old and living with his father, he never saw his mother again.
Statistics show that one hundred divorces occur every hour! (McKinley Irvin Family Law. “32 Shocking Divorce Statistics.”) However, in today’s society, many, if not most, people view divorce as typical, and even, in some cases, encourage others to get a divorce when their marriage is not fulfilling their dreams of what marriage should be. Instead of advising the person to work through the obstacles, friends and family keep quiet and compliantly stand by while the person turns his or her life upside-down. (668) The institution of marriage is based on life-long commitment, “For better or worse … until death do us part.” Vows, such as those pertaining to marriage, were once considered indissoluble. Recently, however, the public as a whole has become very receptive to the idea of divorce. These vows are no longer held in high respect like they once were, and we can see the unacceptable consequences of this abandonment of principle. (665) Diane Medved, in her essay “The Case Against Divorce”, provides her readers with several points against the case of divorce. She clearly makes her viewpoint
