The extreme right wing black Protestants and white evangelicals both think that the earth was made for mankind to use and rule over. They also believe that God will intervene before mankind manages to destroy the planet and themselves. Given these viewpoints, one can see how their religious and political affiliations affect their reluctance to accept climate change.
