All around the world there are many leaders that strive to accomplish their goals and serve as a positive representation to the general public. They try their best to rule the people, so they have obedient followers. Some may carry out positive acts that benefit the people or others may execute negative acts. From there, the followers are affected in that manner. The actions of these individuals reflect what occurs in the thereafter. When a leader uses fear, the followers may go against them as a form of rebellion, which may lead to conflict. A better leader is one that admires and has concern for his people, rather than using fear to control the people. This results in the unification and conformity of people.

Martin Luther King. Martin Luther King was a very influential person that used his kind words to help spread the message that Africans Americans and White people could one day have the same rights. He used verbal methods instead of violent to express his dream. The article states, “ Waving the banner for progress, King did not condemn the ills of hatred and malice that often permeated day-to-day news of racial conflicts with minced words and an angry fist” (http://abcnews.go.com/).This proves that violence is not needed to spread a message because King did not and his message impacts society today. He was a former president, who led the successful Battle of Valley Forge. While he was training his army an epidemic spread amongst them known as, smallpox. George Washington being an intelligent and proactive man helped aid in the inoculation of the deadly disease. “Washington eventually instituted a system where new recruits would be inoculated with smallpox immediately upon enlistment” (Thompson) This statement shows that he wanted the betterment of his people. With his efficient ways, he saved many lives, and gained the soldiers love and respect.
