Over 3.7% of the population have HIV. More than 210,000 people died from AIDS in Nigeria. The three main reason for the transmission of HIV is blood transfusions, heterosexual sex and mother to child. Compared to Swaziland, Nigeria is not too far from becoming number the number one highest ranked country with HIV/AIDS. D. Literacy Rate Nigeria has a literacy rate of 60%. It has been said that in Nigeria many people over the age of 15 do not know how to read and write. Compared to Finland with a 100% literacy rate, Nigeria education is shared accountability of the federal, state, and local governments. E. Unemployment rate The definition of unemployment rate for Nigeria is the percentage of those who are without a job. Unemployment Rate in Nigeria increased to from 21.10% to 23.90% in 2011. Compared to Zimbabwe with a 95% unemployment rate, it is obvious that the Nigerians have less opportunities to encounter jobs. Culture The culture of Nigeria is very multi-ethnic just as the people there. It is very important in the country. The people of Nigeria still value their traditions, music, dances, and also their literature. So far in Nigeria the culture is more positive than anything else. Just like stated before there are over 250 ethnic groups, and over 500 languages that build up the Nigerian culture.
