Man vs. Nature Lord of the Flies begins with a plane crashing into a deserted island and leaving a scar in the sand. All of the adults on the plane didn’t survive the crash but boys between the ages of six to twelve lived. Throughout the story, the boys have to learn how to adapt to life without life's necessities and adult supervision. In the beginning, the boys are scared, anxiously waiting to be rescued, and innocent. As the story progresses, the boys lose their innocence, are no longer afraid to hunt, and they start finding pleasure in brutally murdering their game and each other.
