Malcolm X Malcolm X is a movie about Malcolm Little. He was born in the era which was full of racial violence and discrimination. They later relocate to Michigan where they still counter violence and persecution. Later the white people kill his father and forcefully admit his mother to a mental hospital while Malcolm is taken to Michigan detention home. After completing his eighth grade, he moves to Boston to stay with Ella, his half-sister. He then changes his lifestyle to urban nightlife starts to gamble, do drugs, date older white women, drink and wear fancy clothes. He later starts to work as a railway porter but quits for New York where he continues his hustle. He starts to sell drugs, steer white people to lack brothels commit armed robberies and run numbers. He continues his activities until life proves to be dangerous. He returns to Boston where he starts to break into other people’s houses and eventually he gets arrested. …show more content…

He joins Nation of Islam, a branch of Islam that had already converted Malcolm’s siblings to Islam. He stops doing drugs, prays, reads wide, joins the debate team of prison and learns Latin and English. He is later released on parole and becomes an ardent member of Nation of Islam Detroit temple. He is given permission to change his name but retains the X to represent Malcolm’s lost ancestors. He later meets with Elijah Muhammad, the leader of Nation of Islam. He gets promoted in the temple and soon becomes a well-known figure in the United States and beyond. He advocates for rights of the blacks and promotes black unity. However, the leaders of the Nation of Islam suspend him due to lack of trust. He forms his own organization (Muslim Mosque,Inc). He uses this organization to fight for the rights of the blacks.
