How far would you go to stand up for what you believe in? Would you stand up to guns? Would you stand up against your own family? Would you stand up to state legislators? Against all odds, teens activists stand up for what they believe in by- speaking up for education, violence, and ecology.

Teen activists stand up for what they believe in by speaking up for education. Malala Yousafzai stood up by speaking for all girls who don’t have an education. Malala claims that “When the whole world is silent, even one voice becomes powerful.” This shows that Malala is a great inspiration to every girl in world. Malala shows everyone, not just girls, that if you truly believe, you can achieve great things. Another person who stood up for education is Iqbal Masih. Iqbal was sold to a factory by his own family. He weaved carpets and there if you made a mistake you got beaten. Iqbal went to America and spoke to some kids in 7th grade. One thing to note is that Iqbal Masih wrote that “ Children should have pens in their hands, not tools.” This shocking quote tells us that Iqbal not only wanted children to be free but he …show more content…

Two teen activists that stood up for violence are Iqbal Masih and RaSia Khepra . Iqbal Masih was born in Pakistan in 1982. He lived in Muridke, Pakistan. Iqbal was sold when he was only four years old. Iqbal was sold by his own family to pay for a wedding. He was sold to a factory that weaved carpets and if you made a mistake you got beaten. Iqbal escaped when he was twelve years old and went to America. Later he returned and was shot by his family. RaSia Khepra recently graduated from King College Prep high school in Chicago’s Kenwood area. He lived in the Washington park area.
