vehicles are much more sophisticated and intelligent than they were years ago; car manufactures and the automotive industry research and development are competing to come with new technology every day in order to make the cars smarter, more intelligent and most important safer, and with the wide use of the smart devices like phone, tablets, laptops and other electronic devices, car automakers had to design and develop applications and programs to integrate and connect their cars to the drivers’ smart device as the driver expect to get assistant, be connected and access most of the car functionality using a smart device. From this point there is a need to make sure the car in a good condition and it is safe to drive before start the journey and to give assistant to the drivers on the road in case of the car breakdown.

Therefor car manufactures introduced techniques and built-in notification icons in the car to inform the driver of the car condition before start driving; as an example, if there is a battery icon appears to the driver on the dashboard lights, it means the car telling the driver that there is something wrong with the car battery and the car inspection need to be done by mechanical expert to get further info about the battery condition; Still this techniques of giving assistant to the drivers have many drawbacks:
1. Complicity to understand the notification icons in the car.
2. Only accessible within the car.

Lately, telematics has been used more and more to mean “automotive telematics” which use informatics and telecommunications to enhance the functionality of motor vehicles such as wireless data applications, intelligent cruise control, and GPS in vehicles (K. Y. CHO, C. H. BAE, Y. CHU and M. W. SUH 2006). This definition identifies telecommunications transferring information as the key enabling technology to provide these advanced services. Automotive telematics is the idea of assisting the drivers, providing information about the car conditions, connecting the car with other roadside assistance and towing cars on the road, and integrating Automobiles as completely as possible. Automotive telematics includes putting cellular services, GPS/GPRS systems, weather displays, and many other technological ideas into Automobiles to serve all the desires of a customer.
The benefits of telematics are wide, as developing technologies can do more beyond just notifying the driver about the car problems through dashboard warning lights. The implementation of the telematics technologies in the car and through mobile applications added more safety to the driver on the road, assisting and help to connect the car to the service centres and car manufactures, and to connect the driver anytime to the nearest towing cars and roadside assistance on the road.
