When it comes to makeup, it’s always been a controversy as to which is better, “drugstore” or “high-end”. Everyone has their own opinion as to which is their personal go to, but they both go hand in hand, considering its makeup either way. Going to Walgreens or Kroger’s makeup isle, or to MAC or Sephora, you’ll still come out with makeup at the register. Now, which one is necessarily better? It all depends on the person and the product. When it comes to foundation, most women prefer to go to a high end store because of the broad color spectrum they have to choose from for their face. Whereas drugstore colors are limited, and you’ll probably spend more money because of having to mix colors to find your perfect shade. The same looks that are created with the more expensive shadows can be re-created with the cheaper makeup, it will just take a little longer because of the color pay off and could potentially cause you to more because it will use up fairly quickly. High end eyeshadows have wonderful color pay off and pigmentation. Just the slightest bit of it can last a good while. Makeup brushes and sponges used to apply foundations, eyeshadows, liners and etc. all have a high end and drug store side as well. Most drugstore brushes shed a lot, take up a lot of product to apply causing more money spent to buy new product, and get old quickly.
