By studying the curse of Macbeth one gains a better understand of Macbeth. Macbeth is it a myth or reality? There 's a long-standing conviction that the play is cursed, than anybody that delivers it is courting calamity, and that citing from the play or even saying “Macbeth” prompts genuine misfortune.Numerous performers decline to say the name of the play but instead allude to it as "The Scottish Play". Performing artists likewise look unkindly on any individual who says the name of the title character or quotes from the play while in the theater. Due to this King James the First banned the play from England for a long time in light of the condemnation and on the grounds that the witch “Some believe Shakespeare brought the curse upon his own play by using authentic spells in the three witches’ dialogue” (Schumm, Laura.). Shakespeare wanted to put something unique into the play to make King James happy (Dunning, B).
The play is so preoccupied with witchcraft and generates such a powerful atmosphere of immorality and sickening dread that even reading it could make anyone tremble with reverence.In Macbeth the three weird sisters known as the witches reflect fate throughout the play. We can now clearly see that ambition not achieved through our own ability leads to destruction. 'Hail Thane of Glamis and of Cawdor and shalt be King hereafter'. (Act 1 Scene 3) These prophecies from three strangers are taken without question and probably without good judgment. Just the thought that he may be King clouds his thoughts and ambition takes over. The witches can predict the future, they can add temptation, and influence Macbeth, but they cannot control his destiny.
