Macbeth was a Shakespearean tragic hero. He had many noble qualities as well as several tragic flaws. He was a courageous, brave and good nobleman who was haunted by superstition, He fought and killed king Duncan to get in power. He Receives a prophecy from 3 witches. Macbeth turns out to be a greedy ruler who kills King Duncan to takeover the throne. Actually this play is known as Shakespeare's best play in 1960’s. In the play Macbeth and his wife lady macbeth were seemed to be very united to each other. They seems to have no secret of each other in the play. But as the story goes farther macbeth's wife seems to makes macbeth to think about killing King Duncan's. After killing king Duncan's he had to kill the two guards also. Macbeth felt that it was best to hire murders to handle fleance and Banquo. Macbeth is overcome with evil. “From this moment the very firstlings of my heart shall be the firstling of my mind” but he could not kill fleance because he ran away. After killing banquo he seem so frustrated and lost his mind. He could see banquo's ghost, he would freak out and do all crazy things in front for everyone. He had believed to whatever the witches would tell him. Witches where tricking him by saying lies and fake production to him, and he seem to believe everything that they were saying. First they gain his confident by making prediction that came true. They refer to macbeth as “Thane of Glamis” when he founds out that king has given him Thane of Cawdor. Then he start believing in whatever the witches were saying. There next prediction was that he will become king, so was thinking off how to be king and he thought of killing king Duncan. The second prediction shown bloody child that tells macbeth that no man born of woman will harm him. Most of the critics enjoyed the portrayal of evil in the play. The critics at that time also believed that all the woman's were witches and they were scared of them. Most critics were also wondering if they used real witches in the play. They also thought that benques rule in the play was better than macbeth, cause macbeth's rule at the play was more of evil type, because he killed many people in the play. And there is many other versions of this play. But the version that are most played and famous is the shakespeare's version. The best prediction was Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh’s performance in 1955 was said to have revived the popularity of the stage.
