Macbeth was a Shakespearean tragic hero. He had many noble qualities as well as several tragic flaws. He was a courageous, brave and good nobleman who was haunted by superstition, He fought and killed king Duncan to get in power. He Receives a prophecy from 3 witches. Macbeth turns out to be a greedy ruler who kills King Duncan to takeover the throne. Actually this play is known as Shakespeare's best play in 1960’s. In the play Macbeth and his wife lady macbeth were seemed to be very united to each other. They seems to have no secret of each other in the play. Macbeth felt that it was best to hire murders to handle fleance and Banquo. Macbeth is overcome with evil. “From this moment the very firstlings of my heart shall be the firstling of my mind” but he could not kill fleance because he ran away. After killing banquo he seem so frustrated and lost his mind. He could see banquo's ghost, he would freak out and do all crazy things in front for everyone. He had believed to whatever the witches would tell him. Witches where tricking him by saying lies and fake production to him, and he seem to believe everything that they were saying. First they gain his confident by making prediction that came true. They refer to macbeth as “Thane of Glamis” when he founds out that king has given him Thane of Cawdor. Then he start believing in whatever the witches were saying. There next prediction was that he will become king, so was thinking off how to be king and he thought of killing king Duncan. Most of the critics enjoyed the portrayal of evil in the play. The critics at that time also believed that all the woman's were witches and they were scared of them. Most critics were also wondering if they used real witches in the play. They also thought that benques rule in the play was better than macbeth, cause macbeth's rule at the play was more of evil type, because he killed many people in the play. And there is many other versions of this play. But the version that are most played and famous is the shakespeare's version. In Act I, Scene 3 they refer to Macbeth as "Thane of Glamis," which he is, and as "Thane of Cawdor," which as far as he knows, he is not. When he is later given the news that the king has made him Thane of Cawdor, he naturally believes that the witches know the future and that he can trust them. His thoughts then move to the other prediction the witches made: that he will be king. Macbeth seeks out the witches for more information and assurance. Then, once coming across the Three Witches, Macbeth then asks them to give him some clarification on his future to hold. The Witches then show Macbeth three apparitions. The second apparition that Macbeth is shown, the bloody child, tells Macbeth that "...none of woman born shall harm Macbeth"(Shakespeare 4.1.81-82).This apparition brings confidence into Macbeth by giving him this security that he basically should have no fear about men because he cannot be killed. Macbeth had been encountered by three witches that told him and Banquo of their future, banquo's son is to be king someday, and macbeth was to become king and take Duncan's place only if he were to kill him. Before being transformed into a murderous monster, Macbeth is a model Scottish noble. He shows great loyalty and devotion to both King Duncan and his country in his fight against the Scottish rebels. He also fights with great courage, which he draws from knowing that he serves a good and virtuous cause. He is modest when confronted with his achievements, in contrast to the arrogance that he displays after becoming king. He loves Lady Macbeth, an emotion he will eventually lose by the end of the play. Most of all, he fears what his greed and ambition can lead him to become, and he feels dubious about acting on them.
In fear of losing this power to his friend Banquo or his son Fleance, whom of which the witches said would be king after Macbeth and would yield a long line of kings, Macbeth had them murdered in the woods while they were out horseback riding. This proves that he truly believes in what the witches have to say about him and his future, which leads him to back to seek out more of the witches half truths to see what else would come of his future. The next set of prophecies that the witches had to offer were shown in a set of three apparitions. The first said “Macbeth! Macbeth! Macbeth! Beware Macduff. Beware the thane of Fife,” the second apperition then spoke “none of woman born can harm Macbeth,” the third aperition then said “Macbeth shall never vanquish’d be until Great Birnam Wood to high Dunsinane Hill Shall come against him”(Shakespeare,168-170). Some say it was the witches fault for Macbeth’s actions next, but in reality it was Macbeth’s and Macbeth’s alone. Due to these three prophecies Macbeth’s level of arrogance went up along with his hunger for power as well, his level of common sense was decreasing faster and faster. To begin, we'll address Macbeth's subsequent murders, following Duncan's. For Macbeth, he's just killed the King of Scotland and blamed it on his son. It worked and he became King, however he remembered the witches' prophecies. They claimed that Macbeth would be King, but it would be Banquo's children that would follow after him. This made Macbeth very angry, he risked everything to become King and after him none of his family will follow.
Initially MACBETH is seen as a great soldier, a fearless fighter who has loyally defended his King against a treacherous rebellion. However, he is corrupted by evil in the form of three witches and their supernatural prophecies, and by ambition, not so much his own at first but by Lady Macbeth's ambition for him to murder Duncan, thus attaining the crown of Scotland.

The Tragedy of Macbeth written by William Shakespeare is a tale of a man and his un-bridled ambition, set in ancient Scotland. Macbeth is a nobleman of the king of Scotland, Duncan, who is in mid-war with Norway. Macbeth and his fellow general Banquo encounter three witches. The witches tell the pair that Macbeth will be king, and Banquo’s children will also be kings. Any person in their right mind would question information given to them by strangers, let alone witches, but for some reason these statements intrigue Macbeth. They temp Macbeth to do evil things such as treason, and worse, to kill. Although un-bridled ambition is his main tragic flaw, there is one more that plays a big role in his decisions and the outcome of the story; Macbeth is far too impressionable.
