What jumps to my mind the most about Macalester College is the Mission Statement. Coming from Gaza Strip and traveling to the US as an exchange student for one year made me highly interested in cultures and diversity. Mac is greatly centered around multiculturalism and internationalism, which is exactly what I'm looking for. During my exchange year, beside growing up as a person, I have made so many friends from all over the world and I have learned so much about their cultures. Mac has such a diverse student body and with all the organizations and clubs that connect these students together, it becomes a better place for me to continue my path of learning about these cultures and make more friends. Not forgetting the strong academics that Mac offers, which will qualify me to be an erudite person to make a change in the world.
