Recommended: Analysis of mandela prepared to die speech

Most authors have separate ways on approaching a subject that means a lot to them. There is no right or wrong way to approach the subject, just as long as you get your readers or listeners hooked on to your viewpoint. Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela both stated their views of racism and oppression but they both came at these topics in different types of styles. They used their own style to express their subject. Dr. Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela both made very strong arguments about their views regarding racism and oppression. Nelson Mandela's piece "I Am Prepared To Die" shows Nelson's style of writing. Nelson came across this issue in a very sophisticated manner at times. He brought in factual evidence which draws in listeners. Whenever Nelson made his statements of the living conditions of Africans due to governmental policies he gives statistics.     Mohandas Gandhi and Mao Zedong were two great leaders who succeeded in many ways by their actions and decisions. Gandhi was an Indian leader and Mao a Chinese leader. However, their approach to success, peace, and ultimately, a revolution, was very different. Mao favored peace through violence, and Gandhi favored peace through non-cooperation and standing up for what is right. Mao’s revolution led to change in class structure while Gandhi’s revolution involved India as a country, and he wanted people to realize that working together is a great way to gain independence. However, they both had different views on improvement of social and economic standing for blacks. Booker T. Washington, an ex-slave, put into practice his educational ideas at Tuskegee, which opened in 1881. Washington stressed patience, manual training, and hard work. Change the environment, and people would change too; education was a good way to go about it. The different strategies offered by W.E.B. Du Bois and Booker T. These schools opened Nelson's eyes to many things, which we will discuss later. He and the regent's son, Justice decided to travel to Johannesburg and see what work they could find. They left on their journey without the regent's permission, but eventually escaped his power and settled down in the town. In Johannesburg, Nelson settled down in a law firm as an assistant and went to University of South Africa and Witwatersrand University to further his law education. Witswatersrand University brought many new ideas to Nelson and awakened a spirit inside of him.
