Beethoven, from life to death, was a great musician. As a composer or as a pianist, he is known as great. Many of his pieces are still known to people today. He wrote music from when he was a young boy to shortly before he died, despite going deaf. He is also widely known as the greatest composer of all time. Even in his last years of deafness and death, he wrote some of his most famous pieces of music. He was the first musician that had a salary to compose when and how he felt. Soon, Beethoven was trying to change music and by the age of twelve he finished his first real piece. It was in an unusual key and very difficult. His father also tried to force Beethoven to become a child prodigy, similar to Mozart, but it wasn’t until he was a teenager that he received any attention from the public. He was actually given his dead brother’s baptism certificate and it was announced that he was six, although he was actually almost eight. At only fourteen, he was appointed to work as the organist for the court of Maximilian Franz. During this time, Beethoven was put into new social circles and met some of his greatest friends. He also later played for the Bonn opera, and was persuaded to work under Mozart for a time. This time was cut short, however, due to his mother’s death. It was about 1819 that his deafness had become total. He continued to appear in public performances from time to time, but most of his time was spent composing. Many of his ideas came during long walks. He wrote them down in sketchbooks. Many of these books have been preserved. He had two or three shows that he completed before his contract annulled.
