Locus of control is how much control a student has over their success in school. There are two different types of locus of control classified along a spectrum; internal and external. Students who have an internal locus of control suppose that the outcomes in their life are due to their own efforts. For instance, if someone didn’t complete an assignment and got a 0 they would know that next time they should complete it so they get a better grade.
