Llewella and Belle were trying to get to the Hydra Jungle to collect the nine heads of the hydra, Norbert, on the Black Sea. The wind was going crazy, blowing their ship all over the place. There was a huge gust of wind, then their ship crashed on the shore of the Hydra Jungle.
“Where are we?” Llewella asked Belle.
“I think we found the Hydra Jungle!” Belle shouted excitedly.
“Well let’s go find the hydra!” yelled Llewella anxiously.
Llewella and Belle wandered into the jungle, desperately looking for the hydra. Carefully they examined every tree and every bush. They didn’t see anything, anywhere, at all. Then they saw tracks on the ground.
“Those tracks look like hydra footprints!” Llewella joyfully shrieked.
Belle and Llewella followed the tracks thinking they’d lead them to Norbert. They were silently walking when the branches above them started to shake. They looked up to see what was making them shake, but they didn’t see anything. Then out of no where a group of monkeys attacked them.

Linebaugh and Rediker cover a large area in their attempt to tie the rise of capitalism over a span of two hundred years in approximately 355 pages. The Many-Headed Hydra is broken down into nine chapters along with an introduction and conclusion. The overarching theme of this book truly is the development of the Atlantic proletariat attitudes, and the reason for it. They talk to their dad and he tells them that he worked with a man called Lice Pecking. He says the he also worked on the boat and he could testify on the fact that Dusty really did dump his waste into the ocean. It turns out he is kidnapped and is unable to testify. They meet his wife Shelly. She tells them that she will help them stop Dusty’s Casino scam. She tells him that she wants to work as a bartender in Dusty’s Boat. She tells them that one night she stays late and sees Dusty dumping the waste from the ship. A few days later he goes to a small pond and sees a park ranger putting up signs that say the water in the pond is contaminated from human waste. Since there are many boats docked in the harbors its impossible to see what boat the waste is actually coming from. They then get the idea to color the waste with a very bright dye and allow after us seeps out the trail of brightly colored water will be tracked back to dusty’s boat. They then go into a food store and purchase 35 bottles of Fuchsia dye. They then tell Shelly their plan. They tell her that Noah will hide in a box full of rum and wait till it is picked up and placed on the ship he then will go into a restroom and Shelly will tack on an out of order sign.
A common person’s knowledge about sea disasters comes from what they have read in books and articles, and what they see on TV and in movies. The average person does not get to experience the fury of a hurricane while on a boat. In order to capture the audience’s attention, consideration to details and vivid descriptions are needed to paint a realistic picture in their minds. For this reason, the stories have to provide all of the intricate details. In The Perfect Storm, the story starts out with a radio call, not a dramatic scene that immediately foreshadows the possibility of danger. Rather than describing the storm and its fury, the only mention of the setting is of the visibility and the height of waves. However, in “The Wreck of the Hesperus”, the poem begins by stating there is a hurricane possible right away. The current weather conditions are pointed out to the reader as shown in the following quote.
The seagulls in this story are used to symbolize human frailty and nature’s indifference to it. As the men continue their journey through the fierce waves, Crane incorporates the use of imagery to describe the nature around them by giving it gloomy colors that are often used to represent death. Toward the end of the story, as the men are still hoping to be rescued, they encounter a shark swimming around the boat that symbolizes that something bad is about to happen. At the end of the story, readers learn that the Oiler, Billie, dies, but if one pays close enough attention to the detail used in this story there is enough evidence to foreshadow the death of one character. Nevertheless, as the weather changed and got better they were happy that the Mariner killed the bird. The shipmates were wrong in supporting the killing of the bird, as the spirits wrath pushed the ship into tumultuous, uncharted waters and the spirits made them face arid conditions which led to dehydration. The shipmates then decide to change their mind again about what happened to the bird and then they confront the Mariner and make him wear the dead bird around his neck.
