If I didn’t have to take history as a course I probably would take it, I have always thought history is extremely important. We learn about our ancestors and our countries struggle as it developed into what it is now. We can see the mistakes we have made in the past, as Moyers mentioned in his article, we can learn from history and change the cycle we have fallen into with reoccurring problems. Lincolns inaugural address was very interesting to read because of the contextually and deeper meanings he uses all throughout during this dark period of war.
