The Lincoln Electric Company is a very unique company. Ever since 1895 when the company was founded in Euclid Ohio, Lincoln Electric has been very different from other companies. They have often been critisized for their organization culture. Since their start as a company they have been faced with many challenges including a huge fire in their factory in the companies first years, regardless of these big challenges they have proved to be risiliant. Since the beginning the company has had several examples of reasons they donʼt do things the same as other big companies in the U.S. Other big companies they can be compared to include the Coca-Cola company. The C.E.O. of Lincoln Electric doesnʼt make much more than that of some of the employees which motivates the employees to work hard seeing that the C.E.O. Is on a similar level as the employee.
Lincoln electric has a differnt way of opperating. They beleive that a succesful buisness is a result of a driven, hard working employee. Lincoln Electric doesnʼt pay their employees hourly, insted they pay their employees by how many products they produce. Employees donʼt get sick days, but they do get big bonuses at the end of the year if their report shows they put in a lot of effort during their shift. Lincoln Electricʼs work ethics, culture and system of opperating prove to be succesful because they have been a succesful opperating buisness for over 120 years. Most companies focus most of their profit money and income in the stock market to reinvest in their stock to make their companies shares worth more per share. Lincoln
Electric views stockholders and the stock market as last priority which is unusual for such a big company but it has proven to be very succesful.
Lincoln Electric has made very many advancments in the welding industry. Since their release of Arc Welding, they have been the staple for shipbuilding and other industrial uses. Lincoln Electric has produced many personal electric welding machines for home use, which has expanded the use of welding to even the smallest at home hobbiest.
On average, a Lincoln Electric employee makes over wice as much as different factory workers who are also in the Cleavland area. This is beacause their empoyees are hard working and determined. Workers get almost no breaks which is unheard of in other companies. Their overall process in which they operate including the managing styles and employee performance, is very pricise, refined, and proves to be very succesful.
Iʼm suprised after seeing the success of Lincoln Electric other companies
