The lightning Bolt The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan. Percy Jackson is on a quest to find the Lightning Bolt in order to get his mom back. In my opinion the movie is better than the book and novel. In the movie the characters are better looking and are more interesting to watch because they are outgoing and goofy. Also there is better effects which intrigues me because it has action and looks realistic. It’s entertaining because it seems like they are in a mission on finding treasure but for them it's a lightening bolt. The characters in the movie are way more funny and outgoing. Also I like how they show their emotions for example when Percy fought Annabeth it look like Annabeth didn't really like him. The producers made Annabeth look like a tough young women. Which in my point of view is nice when women are tough. Percy guardian was outgoing and goofy. Every time they had to battle someone he will exaggerate and make hysterical faces. And they made Hades more intimidating for example when Percy and his friends were entering olympus Hades popped out as he was fire and was frightening. When they showed special effects it seemed realistic. In the book and novel didn’t really have good effects. In the scene here Percy went to the museum with his class Mrs. Stiles approach Percy and says she needs to talk to him and out of nowhere she turns into this ugly creature that has six wings. In my opinion the effects looked vived. In the book Hades looked like a wimpy purple monster. And in the movie it had a cool effect of him appearing as fire and looking like a realistic demon. Also when Annabeth wounded Percy the water absorb into his cut and it seems like it was natural. In the underground world the creature from the boat he look like a demon spirit monster. Which I thought it was neat to make the character in the underworld creepy and
