When learning how to read and write, the first step was to learn reading because it is not possible to write when one does not know how to read. When learning how to read, the child starts by reading simple words and the letters. After being in a position to identify the letters, then they will learn by reading word by word. And these are the simple words. That is when a child starts by writing these simple words. As the time goes by and the child is being exposed to the reading materials that is when they will be in a position to read and to write very well. When I was growing up, this is the steps which I followed while I was learning to read and to write. Finally, I was in a position to read and to write.

After being in a position to read and to write, I have read many reading articles which include the books and even the magazines and newspapers. Most of the materials which I have read are the books which contain stories. These stories others are clear that they are fictitious while others seem to have what happened in the past. The other thing which I remember is that I kept repeating the same article and the same content severally to the point where I could recite what was contained in that article. After gaining confidence that I can read, I ventured to read other materials but when reading a sentence I could read word by word. I continued practicing and finally, i was in a position to read the whole sentence even a paragraph in a flowing manner. The writing was another case since it took me a while before I could master the art of writing. The problem was that I could not write in an organized manner and this was what took time before I could write very
