La Feria de abril en Sevilla The purpose of this paper is to inform people on one of the traditions Spain celebrates. La Feria de abril en Sevilla is a traditional fair that people in Spain celebrate. This paper will go into detail on La Feria de abril and how it is celebrated. This fair contains delicious foods, music, costumes and much more. The fair began in 1847, and occurs two weeks after holy week. La Feria de abril is the first fair of the spring, in Spain. It was originally a livestock fair. The fair lasts seven whole days. Many people who travel to Spain attend this fair. To find out more information on this fair and the culture of Spain read the following paper (Ward). La Feria de abril en Sevilla is one of the most exciting fairs to visit in Spain because of its music, costumes, and food. All around the fair there is music playing, which makes the experience for the visitors much more memorable. The costumes people dress in are very unique and colorful. There are many different types of food to choose from. This food is found in casetas, which is a tent or side stand set up around La Feria de Abril. Casetas typically serve olives, ensaladilla, various meat dishes, revueltos, and pescaito frito. The revueltos are made with scrambled eggs, hams, asparagus or mushrooms. The pescaito frito is a mixture of prawns, calamares, tiny octopus, acedias, dog fish, along with other seafoods. Casetas also provide drinks for the visitors of the fair. One of the drinks served is rebujito, which is an alcoholic beverage mixed with lemonade. Fruit juices and mineral water are also provided in casetas. The uniqueness of the food provided at La Feria, intrigues many visitors to try it

Because of Antonio’s past actions he sees nothing wrong with getting rid of a family member for personal gain, but his reasons for doing so began at a young age and have been etched into his brain. Antonio’s psychological depth reveals that he is a man jealous of his brother’s rightful power, and stemming from that is his insecurity and lust for power wherever he may find it (in this case, having power over Sebastian). Antonio is not a good person, has few conscientious thoughts, and is now trying to convince his companion to follow his lead. If Antonio’s brother, Prospero, was to hear the selected lines, he would say that the only time Antonio thinks about performing acts that will get him power, by eliminating those who currently have it, is when it is to his advantage. He would say that Antonio devises plans to get rid of leaders when they are at a disadvantage, and he at an advantage, because he doesn’t feel that he could succeed otherwise—his insecurities kicking in. I don’t think Shakespeare agrees with Antonio, and there are two examples in the play to support that.
