My highest scores on the Kuder career interests assessment shows that I have a high score tied between Enterprising and Conventional (“Kuder Assessments Summary,”2017). Enterprising demonstrates interest working with people and to lead them or sell them a product. Conventional demonstrates my interest in keeping things organized through keeping accurate records and files. For example, in an office things have to be separated and filed in the correct order. My skills confidence assessment has a tie between investigation and being artistic. As far as my work values assessment, in my life I want to maintain a high priority of innovation. Innovation is having the challenge to do work in different ways and with independence. An example would be
I had the opportunity to take the 16 Careers Cluster Inventory. I found the assessment very easy to take. As well, I found the inventory easy to score. My results of the assessment indicated my top three career areas were: 1. Educational and Training, 2. Health Sciences, and 3 had a three way tie between Human Services, Hospitality, and Law enforcement. I found the assessment to be dead on. Based upon the past personality inventories that I have taken I found the suggested areas very appropriate. One of the appealing aspects of the inventory was the easy of taking it! It seemed to gather accurate information without being overly pathological and test-driven.
Upon completion of the Big Five Personality test, my results were somewhat surprising to me. Overall, I scored on the low end for Openness to Experience/Intellect, Extraversion and Neuroticism dimensions and on the high end for Conscientiousness and Agreeableness dimensions. For the Openness to Experience/Intellect, my score indicated that I prefer traditional and familiar experiences. While that may be true, it also indicated that I was uncreative and had narrow interest. I think I am a very creative person, because some

Introduction: Many assessment tools and interviewing skills are available to the clinical social worker within a mental health setting. This paper will examine one such assessment tool, the competency-based assessment, and its applicability in a mental health setting. A comparison will be made between this advanced assessment method and a generalist social work assessment. Interviewing people who have mental health concerns can offer challenges for clinical social workers. Several interviewing techniques that can help with some of these challenges will be outlined.
With the conscientiousness category I was rated with a 58 percentile, stating I was neither organized nor disorganized. This is supposed to state weather you are able to show self-disciple and aim for high success. Which I totally disagree with because I feel as though I am the most disorganized person of all time and can never remember where I place things or can find them if that. Furthermore, I also disagreed because I find myself as a very well disciplined individual with structure and set high priorities for myself in my life to become successful. In addition, I did not quite agree with the category of openness to experience/Intelligent. As Rentfrow states, this category is supposed to say weather you have an appraising art, sentiment, voyage and unique concepts (Rentfrow). I had scored a 20 percentile stating that I have narrow interest and uncreative. Although I might be a tad bit of an uncreative side to myself, I don’t agree however it stating I have narrow interest, because I feel as though I always think out of the box about things and try and figure out problems before they even occur. For the most part of the personality test I would have to agree with what it is stating, especially for being an online data test it sure is precise on how it describes my personality as a single
Reaching any success will not be easy to achieve. Academic success, in that matter, to me, is meeting or exceeding the University's expectations, learning to the best ability, standing out, and building knowledge towards ones own vocational calling and degree. Personal strengths reflect and devote those aspirations; contributing to finding and accomplishing life goals and academic success. After finalizing the Gallup “StrengthsFinder” valuation, my top five strengths were determined to be competition, adaptability, harmony, ideation, and futuristic, in that order. As an Internation Business Major, yet to find my vocational calling; my goal is to habit those strengths, set academic ambitions, be extrusive, and have a willingness to learn new things of my desired profession while seeking for my calling in life.

I believe respect and compassion, above all else, will support me in achieving my goals in life, because these two values alone, could help me to achieve my terminal values. Empathy and tolerance were the next in line, as these are essential to my success as a leader in a school, as a colleague, a friend and as a family member. Creativity leads to pleasure and innovation, which is key to my personal and professional success and happiness, but I did not feel was essential to my terminal values. Perseverance had to be a part of my instrumental values. I need to follow-through with the actions I take in order to demonstrate or live by the other 6 ...
For the Keirsey personality test, I received the Artisan personality type. I wasn’t very surprised when I received this type because I have taken similar tests and have gotten similar scores or types before. According to my results artisans “naturally excel in any of the arts”. The results spoke of artisans having keen senses and loved working with their hands. The results also spoke of artisan’s doing whatever it takes to get where they want to be. I found this to be very true and relatable. This past year I have had many jobs, piled on classes, and worked many hours to work towards my goal of graduating. I have moved away from home (my comfort zone) and worked towards my dream of being the first in my family to graduate from college. I have

According to Holland (1985), the choice of a career is an extension of one’s personality into the world of work. Individuals choose careers that satisfy their preferred personal orientations. Holland developed six modal personal styles and six matching work envi¬ronments: realistic, investigative, artistic, social, enter¬prising, and conventional. A person is attracted to the particular role demand of an occupational environ-ment that meets his or her needs. For example, some¬one who is socially oriented would seek out a work environment that provides interactions with others, such as nursing in a hospital setting. Holland and his colleagues have developed a number of instruments (e.g., the Self-Directed Search) designed to assist in identifying individual personality traits and matching those traits to occupational groups. Holland’s theory assesses each individual in terms of two or three most prominent personality types and matching each type with the environmental aspects of potential careers. It is predicted that the better the match, the better the congruence, satisfaction, and persistence (Holland, 1985). Holland also elaborated five secondary assumptions which he calls key concepts that describe the theory. These assumptions
According to the study of this course, I have learned many useful management skills and I feel like these skills will be applied to my future career development. When working on the self- assessment tests, I found myself fall into the category of the ISTJ personality types, which as illustrated by Myers Briggs, is the type of personality that is conscientious, considerate, and helpful. Personality traits such as honest, dutiful, practical and responsible are my strengths; personality traits such as stubborn, insensitive and poor communication skill are my weaknesses. Related to the knowledge I have learned in the course I believe both strengths and weakness will have influence to my future career development. In this reflection paper, I will demonstrate the strengths and weaknesses that may place the most influence on my way of success.
Intellectual stimulation will allow me to think and be on my feet without ever getting bored at the job. Furthermore, security and economic rewards will make feel as though I have a secure job with compensation for my duties in the work place. Structure, acknowledgement, and convenience are important but not as important. These are values that I look for in a career but will not affect my decision if they are not provided in the workplace. However, adventure and interpersonal contact are the least important value for
