The crime I will be talking about is called “Killing of a Trans-gender Woman”. Since the victim was trans-gender, she was brutally attacked by “six men” on “Tuesday at 2:30 a.m.”. Shortly after the attack happened, police and paramedics arrived on scene and reported it to local news teams. “Police believe one of the attackers pulled a gun and fired two shots into Jenkins` back while she was on the ground”. The only time an attacker would ever pull out his gun is when the victim is standing up. The killing of this trans-gender woman is not a hate crime at all. Its more of a sad senseless murder that had nothing to do with the fact that she was trans-gender. It was mainly all about money. However, Keisha Jenkins was found to be a prostitute. Not only just that but she was also an artist since she liked to draw. “Keisha Jenkins` death is being mourned by high-profile transgender celebrities and advocates”. A short while after the news about Jenkins` death passed on, local news teams got news about “Another tragic loss”. Unfortunately, Keisha Jenkins will be sadly missed by all. In conclusion, hate crimes are a very serious issue today then they were in the past. It truly is sad what can happen when it comes to hate crimes about transgender women or crimes against anti-Jews, anti-blacks, or even anti-gays. I feel very sad when I hear about any hate crime in general because lots of bad things can and will happen to victims of any kind. However it is interesting to research information on all types of hate crimes because you can always learn something new. Overall, its really sad when innocent people become victims of hate crimes based on who they are, their gender, religion, or even their sexual
