Kidtopia is my country. It’s located in Peru near the Huacachina oasis. People in my country been arguing about what will be the dominant religion of my country. As the ruler I chose Islam because it’s beliefs I stand by. It’s a monotheistic religion, they have holidays such as Eid-Al-Fitr (Eid of fast-breaking) and Eid-Al-Adha (Eid of sacrifice) and they pray five times a day.
Firstly, I chose Islam religion for the citizens of Kidtopia is because it is a monotheistic religion. Monotheistic which means to serve only one God. Islam (mean submission to the will of God) is the second largest religion in the world. It originated in the in the Arabian Peninsula by Muhammad in 622 ce. Followers of this religion are called muslims.
Secondly, I chose
Kidwatching shows many different things when it comes to collecting data on how a student or student’s learn over a period of time. When doing kidwatching observations, it is important to monitor everything that could have an influence on a student’s performance. Different things such as resources, environments, interactions, etc. are a few things that can affect a student when it comes to learning. Being able to kidwatch at Killian Elementary, I’ve been able to collect a great deal of data when it comes to seeing a student as a scientist. This opportunity has allowed me to look at teaching science many different ways that can show how much students are interested and how much he/she understands.
The daycare that I visited was Rosemont Daycare and Preschool. This center is faith based and I was able observe the “Duck Class” which was the age group of four and five year olds. I went to observe on February 11th and 16th, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 and the 18th from 3:00 to 6:00. On the 11th and 16th, there were a total of 12 children in the Duck class. At 9:00 the children were engaged in circle time meaning that the children were learning about their bible verse for that month which was “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son.” The children then discussed what they thought that meant. On the 11th I was present to see the children, the ones I decided to observe were Kali, Roslyn, Fiona, and Brayden. When the children were doing crafts I sat near the counter island in the class room so I was out of the way but still able to see and hear what the kids were doing and saying at the table.
On August 6th, 1945, an American B-29 bomber dropped, “Little Boy”. “Little Boy” was an atomic bomb that exploded over Hiroshima releasing a blast equal to 12-15,000 tons of TNT; killing around 80,000 people immediately and many more would die due to radiation exposure(History.com). 3 days after this bombing, the second and final atomic bomb was dropped on the city of Nagasaki(History.com). The bomb, nicknamed “Fat Man”, weighed nearly 10,000 pounds and produced a 22-kiloton blast, killing an estimated 40,000 people(History.com). After the bombing of Nagasaki on August 15th, 1945, the Japanese Emperor Hirohito announced the country’s unconditional surrender(History.com). This marked the end of the long grueling war, but at what cost?
Islam, on the other hand, started in Mecca, where Prophet Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him) was born. He was believed to be that last nabi (messenger) that Allah will give to the world. The religion was not well accepted in its city of origin though, due to the opposition the Prophet faced as a nascent community . Later, he was invited to Medina and Islam expanded from there.
The Boy in the Striped Pajamas was released on November 7, 2008 that was based on the novel The Boy in the Striped Pajamas written by John Boyne in 2006. The movie was filmed in Hungary, mostly in Budapest which is significant because many of the Jewish people in Budapest at the time were forced to live in ghettos and then later transported to concentration camps located mostly on the Austrian border. However, the film takes place in Oświęcim, Poland at Auschwitz where Jews were transported from almost every country across Europe that Nazi Germany occupied. The Boy in the Striped Pajamas was nominated for 7 film awards and won all 7 awards and critics have said that it has multiple historical inaccuracies however it is a decent attempt to showcase a touching storyline in such a horrific time. At the time of filming The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, Barack Obama took office as the first African American United States President. This could have impacted the film and the public’s response it it because the majority of the population was open to the concept of minorities and the horrific events throughout history that
Chapter four introduced the different developments preschoolers are experiencing and how to adapt teaching to each development. For example, it said that because toddlers are undergoing lots of physical development a majority of their day needs to be active learning. The different developments chapter four talked about were physical development, social and emotional development, cognitive development, and language and literacy development. I agree that teachers need to use these developments to teach the children. What is the point of teaching if nothing is getting through? When teachers use the children’s weaknesses and strengths to teach they are going into the child’s world and by doing so can give that child a better understanding of the
I observed one child from the infant age group, E, and another child from the young toddler age group, A. I observed these children at a daycare center in Bowling Green, OH. The center is a little outdated for my likely because of the age of the building, but the center has been around for a long time. This center accommodates children from six weeks old to kindergarten. I work at this daycare several days a week so doing observations was very easy for me because I personally knew these children. They room is decorated with bright green walls and carpeted floors. The infant and the young toddler room are enclosed in one room but divided by a short door. The infant room is set up much smaller than the young toddler room. The infant room has a maximum of eleven infants
I will be giving specific examples to help me distinguish between the thinking patterns of 3-year-old preschooler and a 9-year-old student using Piaget’s theory of cognitive development. The biggest difference between the 3 year old and 9 year old is that the 3 year old is in the pre-operational stage and the 9 year old is in the concrete operational stage.

Seeing my now 4 and 2 year old half-brothers grow up in an increasingly technological world has made me realize imminent, and sometimes surprising changes since when I was a child. The most obvious being their ability to use technology. When the oldest of my half-brothers, Jameson, was two years and younger, he readily enjoyed watching children’s shows on television. However, after he discovered the iPad, his attention no longer was taken by the big screen, but by the small screen in his hands. Whenever he isn’t at school, Jameson uses our Dad’s iPhone to watch videos on YouTube every minute he is at home. The moment he gets up, when he’s getting ready for school, as we are eating dinner, even right before our dad tells him it’s time to go to bed, this kid always is looking at or listening to the cloudy pictures streaming upon a finger-smudged touchscreen. Its as if he tooks the “eye”-sound in iPhone too seriously--for one eye is always glued to the device. When children are able to interact with the internet, not only does their attention uncontrollably gravitate towards a screen, but their “taste” in entertainment--especially videos--develops as well. At first, a child may begin watching her or his favorite television

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas Opinion Essay “Those who kept silent yesterday will remain silent tomorrow” -Elie Wiesel. The Holocaust is a very common topic to read and to be taught about, especially in the form of fictional books. It is usually taught to make people remember what really happened in the past so that history doesn’t repeat itself.
The religion of Islam is all about Muslims. Muslims believe that there is only one God and the Arabic word for God is Allah. Therefore they all worship Allah. Islam is also one of the largest religions in the world. It is a monotheistic faith based on revelations received by the Prophet Muhammad.
Childhood today has definitely changed from how it was when I was growing up. Back then things were different, we played outside, we were happier, we used our imagination and thought on our own. We took in information, absorbed it, processed it and used it. We talked to one another view landline phones, writing letters or face to face conversations. Today’s child is all about technology! They know nothing about writing letters, going outside and meeting a friend and playing for hours. The spend less time outside and more time watching television and playing video games. They know nothing about going to the library and looking for books to do research or school projects. Everything today is based around social media and finding friends on “Facebook”
Islam, whose followers are called Muslims, began with the teachings of the prophet Muhammad, who lived in the Arabian town of Mecca during the 5th and 6th centuries CE. The location of the birth of Islam would prove crucial to the influence that Islam would later wield in world history. Since
