In the business field, there are many different ethical issues. The main problem that will be addressed is fundamental issues within a company. This problem not only will affect consumers, but also the business itself. Businesses will face ethical issues such as, trust and integrity, equality, and commitment, which may dealt with through the terms of Kantian ethics. Having ethics in the workplace is essential because they give good guidelines and laws that will help the internal functions of a business yet there are still disagreements on whether or not businesses should be allowed to exaggerate the truth while trying to sell a product.
Trust is one of the key elements of a successful company. An ethical value that creates a bond between the seller and the consumer. Businesses want to see that their employees are honest and trustworthy. Consumers trust the company is presenting honest information and would not cheat them. Think about it, would you want to put your money in a bank when you know the workers there have a previous record of stealing money out of accounts? The manager claims the seed is the best around and never will fail to achieve on average 82% higher yields than the other seed companies. The customer likes what he hears and assumes the manager is being honest with him so he decides to buy the seed. Little did the customer know the manager was exaggerating the percentage to get him to buy the seed, which it worked.
