The theme of The count of Montreal Cristo, is one of hope, justice, mercy, and vengeance. It's a story of Edmond Dantes, a sailor who is betrayed by his enemies & thrown into jail for a crime he didn't commit. He was accused of "committing treason and being a bonapartist". In the 14 years Edmond is in jail his personality starts to change. This story takes place during "the Napoleonic Era while the usurper, Napoleon has escaped to his place of exile, the isle of Elba, located in the Mediterranean Sea".

Seven years into prison Edmond is seeking revenge on his enemies and has lost all hope.
A priest who is in the same prison as Edmond has been digging a hole for five years, ready to escape realized he's been digging in the wrong direction and dug a hole into Edmonds cell. In exchange for Edmonds help, the priest offers to teach Edmond all kinds of knowledge. I got into a terrific car accident when I was in seventh grade. I remember everything that happened that day like if if was yesterday. I was with my family coming back from south beach.
