Cassius and his men are responsible for the death of Julius Caesar. Exhibit E supports this theory. Exhibit E shows that Caesar had dismissed his bodyguards and only a few days earlier a guard overheard Caesar exclaim that he wanted to die because of his sickness and suffering. Caesar had enough of a connection to Cassius to ask him to do him a favor and kill him. Caesar had asked to been killed and was well aware of what was going on. Caesar was preparing for the “attack” by letting his guards go so they would not be able to stop the attack and protect him. Exhibit D also supports the theory.
