“Science, my lad, has been built upon many errors; but they are errors which it was good to fall into, for they led to the truth.” Journey to the center of the earth by Jules Verne is a science fiction that tell the story of a man Axel discovering a deciphered text, his strong head uncle Professor Lidenbrock, a man intelligent in science and Hans Bjelke, a Danish speaking Icelander and well hunter.Once Axel reveals the code to his uncle the Professor, he departs for Iceland immediately. He takes axel who was reluctant and tried to talk him out of with him and along the way he meets with Hans whom was suggested to them. He joins them on this trip to the center of the earth in order to figure out the code and to find unknown spices and many other things. On this journey many obstacles came and one by one somehow they group seemed to over come them. When in reality many of this things they faced are impossible to get to yet overcome. I discovered that even though most of Verne's ideas about what the interior of the earth contains have since been disproved with different fictional sciences the book still manages to include science fiction and real geography.
After days of Jules character, Axel trying to hide the note that was translated from the code in chapter five he finally gave in and when Lidenbrock translates the note, saying first, "In Sneffels Joculis craterem quem delibat Umbra Scartaris Julii intra calendas descende, Audax viator, et terrestre centrum attinges. Quod feci, Arne Saknussemm." which was translated to, "Descend, bold traveler, into the crater of the jokul of Sneffels, which the shadow of Scartaris touches before the kalends of July, and you will attain the centre of the earth; which I have done, Arne Sakn...

... story Journey of the Center of the Earth he uses real geography to set a base to his novel to help the reader understand to allow the reader to create a personal vision for themselves. He uses fictional science to create a fantasy world and to make his book interesting and to go the extra mile in drawing the readers attention to his novel. There are many things in Jules Verne's novel Journey to the center of the earth, even with it being out dated, that are in ways unreal pertaining to the actual physics of the Earth. Due to the actual atmosphere not allowing such a journey to take place in the means of reaching the earths core he has to use fiction to an extent. There are many aspects in his novel that may very well be able to be accomplished. He uses both real and unreal science to draw readers and to open ones mind to what could and could not be possible or real.
