Johnny Depp, one of the most successful actors of his generation, has accomplished many things during his life. Playing in many blockbuster hits, Depp has become a world-renowned star. His acting career bloomed from his early years as he took up the role of James Dean in the show, 21 Jump Street. In 1989, Johnny quit the show due to feeling categorized as a teen pin-up. Since then, Johnny Depp has played roles in blockbuster hit movies such as, Edward Scissorhands (1990) and Pirates of the Caribbean's (2003-2011). In the end, by possessing phenomenal acting skills and adding his own personal characteristics into his roles, Johnny Depp has achieved great success.

One bad decision Johnny Depp made during his life was not deal with his stress sufficiently. While shooting for one of his films, Gilbert Grape, Johnny was going through a rough time in his life. With hectic work schedules and his recent breakup with fiancée Winona Ryder, this period was a dark for Johnny. So instead of talking of his feelings to someone, Johnny chose to bottle up his emotions and turn to alcohol and drugs. He talks about this stage of his life and his heaving drinking of intoxicants to Playboy in 2004: “There were drugs, too. Pills. And there was a danger that I would go over the edge. I could have, I thank God I didn’t. It was the darkest during the filming of Gilbert Grape.” Soon after he realized he was not going in the right direction and stopped his actions. If I were in Johnny Depp’s shoes, during this time of his life, I would have gone to someone trustable and close to me, and spoken to them about my emotions.
