Johnny Depp, a movie actor, Johnny bravo a cartoon character, Johnny from the folktale Johnny Appleseed, the list goes on. Seems like some popular figures allowed the name to gain fame. Named after my gynecologist at birth, I don't know anything about him. All I know is that he was a Vietnamese doctor, which most likely influenced my family to name me Johnny even more.
