Recommended: Rhetorical devices in Kennedy speech

What characteristics define a good speaker? The answer to this question contains a multitude of possibilities, but the four main categories any good speaker excels in are physical expression, vocal expression, personality, and speech composition. Excelling in physical expression includes keeping eye contact with the audience, using appropriate gestures, portraying appropriate facial expressions, and being physically direct with the audience. Mastering vocal expression is about incorporating thought and feeling in the speech and applying suitable volume. Encompassing warmth and friendliness, enthusiasm, and sincerity into a speech is how a good speaker shines in the personality department. Kennedy. John F. Kennedy was an American president who is recognized universally for his phenomenal speeches. John F. Kennedy was proficient in all the departments that constitute a good speaker; physical expression, vocal expression, personality, and speech composition. Kennedy was very physically direct with his audience while giving speeches. Kennedy consistently made direct eye contact with his audience and used just enough gestures at the right moments to keep listeners interested. Kennedy used facial expression to really get across his points. Vocal expression was a skill of Kennedy's. John F. Kennedy's best attribute when giving speeches was the thought and feeling Kennedy put in his speeches. People were drawn in and persuaded to believe Kennedy's speeches because of the thought and feeling Kennedy put in his speeches. Kennedy applied projection as a tool to not only insure people could hear what he had to say, but also to keep people awake during his speeches. John F. Kennedy's strongest skill was personality. Kennedy exuded warmth and friendliness. Kennedy made sure to make the audience feel like Kennedy knew and appreciated the audience. John F. Kennedy focused on problems and ideas that appealed directly to a wide range of people, which is what made Kennedy accomplished in the speech composition
