John Charles Fields
John Charles Fields is perhaps one of the most famous Canadian Mathematicians of all time. He was born on May 14, 1863 in Hamilton Ontario, and died August 9, 1932 in Toronto, Ontario (Young, 1998). He graduated from the University of Toronto at the age of 21 with a B.A in Mathematics and went on to get his Ph.D. at John Hopkins University in 1887. Fields was very interested to study at John Hopkins University because apparently it was the only university in North America which really stressed research at the time (Fields Institute, n.d.). Fields did original research in the theory of algebraic functions that was influenced by his reknowned mentors, Fuchs, Schwarz, Frobenius and Plank (Fields Medal, n.d.). After two years of teaching at John Hopkins University, John Charles Fields then went on to teach at Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania, north of Pittsburgh (Fields Institute, n.d). He taught at Allegheny College for 4 years, and then decided that North America was not where he wanted to research, dissatisfied with the state of mathematics in North America, he left for Europe and spent the next 10 years of his life there (Fields Institute, n.d). This year, the University of Chicago sent out a letter to all of its incoming freshmen informing them that in keeping with their beliefs of freedom of expression and healthy discussion and debate, the school would not provide “safe spaces” or “trigger warnings”. Sir John A. Macdonald was one of Canada's founding fathers. He is most remembered as being Canada's first Prime Minister, running the government from July 1, 1867 until November 5, 1873. Macdonald would become Prime Minister once again on October 17, 1878 and would stay in this position until June 6,1891. While he was leader of the country he faced his own share of political obstacles, including Confederation, the Metis rebellion and threats of an American he is among the greatest leaders Canada has ever seen and played a significant part in the forming of Canada as a country.
James Fenimore Cooper was born in Burlington, New Jersey on September 15, 1789 to William and Elizabeth Cooper. He was born the eleventh of twelve children. When James was one year old the family moved to the frontier of Lake Otsego, New York, and his father established the settlement of Cooperstown at the head of the Susquehanna River.
For the use on the hypothesis of “ what are the uses of PSYOP’s in the GWOT” two different research methods would prove advantageous, one of which would be Historical Research. The reason for the use of historical research being used, is with the data being collected in terms of PSYOPs. To effectively be able to prove PSYOP’s work in the GWOT there has to be empirical data or historical data that shows these claims. In OIF and OEF, the use of PSYOP’s was recorded and these pieces of information would be used and synthesized with comparison notes. What would make the difference in terms of data would be showing how effective the PSYOPs were through the OIF and OEF campaigns and to an extant before and after.
My brother, Andrew stated that he felt betrayed how his best friends go out and party with him, then turned around and call my mother, Faye, and told them that he was addicted to cocaine. Two days went by; my brother, Andrew, avoided all phone calls from my mother and his best friends. Finally, on the third day after the confrontation, my oldest brother, Gary, and mother, Faye, showed up at Andrew’s dorm room and explained to him if he went with them to get a drug assessment then he would be able to stay in school and keep everything that my family had threatened to take away from him. My brother, Andrew, had already lost most of his trust in his friends, but he agreed to take a drug assessment because he did not want to lose what he had.

This helps to develop strong relationship within the domestic firms to reduce the domestic barriers and thus, enhance the company’s competitiveness (Thabet, 2015). Pierre de Fermat Pierre de Fermat was born in the year 1601 in Beaumont-de-Lomages, France. Mr. Fermat's education began in 1631. He was home schooled. Mr. Fermat was a single man through his life. Pierre de Fermat, like many mathematicians of the early 17th century, found solutions to the four major problems that created a form of math called calculus. Before Sir Isaac Newton was even born, Fermat found a method for finding the tangent to a curve. He tried different ways in math to improve the system. This was his occupation. Mr. Fermat was a good scholar, and amused himself by restoring the work of Apollonius on plane loci. Mr. Fermat published only a few papers in his lifetime and gave no systematic exposition of his methods. He had a habit of scribbling notes in the margins of books or in letters rather than publishing them. He was modest because he thought if he published his theorems the people would not believe them. He did not seem to have the intention to publish his papers. It is probable that he revised his notes as the occasion required. His published works represent the final form of his research, and therefore cannot be dated earlier than 1660. Mr. Pierre de Fermat discovered many things in his lifetime. In the video Robinson states, “I believe that we have a system of education that is modeled on the interest of industrialism and in the image of it”. Even though many things have changed since the 18th century, the current American educational system is still the same as it was back then. Robinson states that schools are still organized like factories. “ Schools are still pretty much organized on factory lines ringing bells, separate facilities, specialized into separate subjects. We still educate children by batches, you know, we put them through the system by age group.” All of this leads to limiting the students with their learning, by forcing them to work faster or slower than the pace they learn. Not all students work the same way as others do, some do better in groups while others work just as well alone. This all leads to many thinking that there are only two types of people, smart or non smart people. “They have twin pillars, economic and intellectual and my view is that this model has caused chaos”. The chaos Robinson is talking about is the ADHD “epidemic” that the U.S is facing because of how different the 20th century is from the 18th century. “Our children are living in the most intensive stimulating period in the history of the earth. They are being besieged with information and coerced for attention from every platform: computers, from iphones… And were penalizing them now for getting distracted. From what? Boring stuff.” The thing is that there is no progress with adapting the educational system to our way of life, the only thing changing is the amount of standardized test American students take and the medicines they are taking in order to focus in class.
