Otherwise, it’s just keep your ears open more than your eyes, and listen and look. it all goes by too short. I’m going to my youngest daughter’s 21st birthday today and I’m thinking, “When did this happen?” You just gotta live it every day. It sounds cliche.” This is an important reason to why Jimmy should be in the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame with his ability to be this idol to some people and not be a stuck up jerk that thinks he is better than everyone else( "A Conversation with Jimmy Buffett." ). These conversations show the good and the bad for Jimmy but from most people they think that he is an outgoing individual at the least. Most people think very highly of Jimmy Buffett or do not mind him at all. There is however a negative side to him that some people will and won’t like some of his views which can lead to them either hating or never wanting to listen to the guy again. One fan in particular didn’t like the views he had about politics. This fan said that he loved hearing him sing and now he can’t even stand the guy anymore. He didn’t like it because of what Jimmy said and I quote,”To me it was more about eight years of bad policy before (Obama) got there that let this happen. It was Dracula running the blood bank in terms of oil and leases,” he said. “I think that has more to do with it than how the president reacted to it.” To this fan he could not believe that he would say this. This made him furious with what he said even though he wasn’t friends with the guy he felt that it was someone there to take him to a faraway place a place where there were no troubles. He honestly felt that his friend had let him down. So, even though he knows that it shouldn’t be the case he thinks that there is a time and place to discuss such matters and that place wasn’t there. Which the whole point of the article that this person saw was to talk about a concert for people
mother, Ruth, brought him to live with her at a sailor's hotel and bar that she
Many times, people have very different ideas about what makes an icon. Our icons may be singers, dancers, athletes, actors or politicians. We may not even know what the criteria would be for an icon, but we know one when we see it. One of the greatest American icons in history is the 1969 Woodstock Music Festival. To say that Woodstock isn’t an icon would be like saying that the music wasn’t a dynamic character in the movie “Star Wars” or “The Phantom of the Opera”. An Icon must encompass a distinct ideology, and nothing ushered in our generation’s journey to the end of the innocence like Woodstock.
The concert of the Willie Nelson Experience (WNE) was a huge success. Our success shook the roots of Arlington. Our rock n roll took us to the top. Although street performing is not as easy as it looks, our legend of the great Willie Nelson Experience begins now.
Many of us have a dream in life to be remembered by all for something great. It’s a lofty goal that only few have, or ever will achieve. Elvis Presley was one of the few people in our American history that achieved this status. Known as “The King of Rock and Roll”, his achievements have influenced our country like none of its precedents. This paper will explain Elvis Presley’s life, his death, and his profound influence after life.
Mention the name Elvis Presley and many things come to mind. Most people automatically think of music and the impact he had on the industry. Others think of his upbringing in the South and the years he spent singing Gospel tunes. Wild images of Graceland and Cadillacs are iconic when it comes to discussing Elvis. Through the years, his physical appearance changed drastically. From young and in excellent shape to older, larger, and showing the signs of poor lifestyle choices. Elvis singlehandedly changed the face of American music. He influenced an entire generation to break from long-held traditions. However, for all the incredible talent and charisma the man possessed, he could not break free from the addictions that plagued him in his later years. Moreover, sadly, many remember that as his last legacy.

On November 27, 1942, in Seattle, Washington a later-to-be-known legend was born as James Marshall. This future guitar master went by the name of Jimi, Jimi Hendrix. His childhood was not very fortunate, however, he did indulge himself in one particular way: Jimi loved to play the guitar. Jimi could never afford to take lessons so he taught himself. At first he played an old acoustic guitar, and later a cheap Silvertone electric. Both of these guitars were both strung for a lefty on a right-handed guitar, one of the defining Hendrix traits. Jimi would have preferred to play a guitar that was made for lefty's but his parents wouldn't pay the extra money because they were extremely poor.
Buffet because I have a deep affinity for people who are humble and modest. As one of the richest people ever, Mr. Buffet leads a life in Omaha, Nebraska without fancy cars or homes, or the publicity about how he spends his money. Business to Mr. Buffet is about keeping score in financial statements, not in material objects. Today’s society seems to be consistently focused on money, and measuring success by how much someone makes. I have made a promise to myself that no matter how financially successful I become, I will never lose site of the things in life money cannot buy. Mr. Buffet has inspired me not only from his success in business, but also his value to living a meaningful life. I strive every day to stay dedicated to constant improvement as a human being, to work hard, to maintain integrity, and to never give up. It seems much easier to accomplish when you have role models like Mr. Buffet to look up

Jerry Garcia’s life was filled with wonderful things, many of which he never expected in the first place. After an almost fatal heroin overdose in 1986, “ Garcia philosophically stated, ‘ I’m 45 years old, I’m ready for anything, I didn’t even plan on living this long so all this shit is just add-on stuff.’ ” (“Garcia”) This attitude shows why Garcia did all of the things he did and even how some of them came about. Garcia, who “functioned as the preeminent pied piper of the rock era,” led a life of great artistic ability which he used in many ways(“Grateful Dead_ Rockhall”).

The power of television is strong and inevitable. Television has the ability to draw people in and view the world through a perspective one would think unimaginable. After the second world war ended in 1945, electronic sales boomed and more families started to gather around the tv at night to view widely famous television shows. Specifically, The Ed Sullivan Show was known for its plethora of celebrities and up and coming entertainers. The shows popularity was able to take a small town artist and make he or she into an enormous success, specifically, Elvis Presley who was, “something new under the Sun” (Altschuler 30). Teenagers, however, viewed the television as an escape and a look into the unknown and intriguing world of African American culture. Through the extreme recognition of The Ed Sullivan Show, the power of mass media and the fascination with African American culture, Elvis Presley’s success skyrocketed and made him one of the most famous performers of all time whose fame became an inspiration for many.
