Confucius believed that the key to social order was to be found in everyone accepting their positions and responsibilities as found in the Five Relationships. No matter what position a person holds, there are responsibilities that follow that person. A ruler revives his subjects devotion/loyalty but he owes them just rule. The father (head of the family) is owed the loyalty of the son. The wife must respect the husband, the younger brother should show respect for the eldest brother and a friend must respect another friend. This idea influenced the social and political structure of China. China had a great impact/influence in Japan. The Korean peninsula linked China and the Japan. Confucianism travelled through Korea and then by sea to Japan (by trade and foreign missions). It arrived at about the same time Japan was trying to centralize its government under dynastic rule. Rulers adopted Confucianism and merged it with Japan's culture. Everyone received responsibilities like China to manifest a good of society. The teaching of filial piety influenced Japanese social life and family relationships. This provided structure for maintaining order. It also emphasized the authority of the
To begin, Confucianism is a system of philosophical and ethical teachings founded by Confucius. Confucianism was the code of ethics accepted as the certified religion of most of the immense empires in the territory since the Han Dynasty. Confucianism provided an outline of ethical and religious beliefs that most of the Chinese expanded to make other religions such as Daoism and Legalism. To expand, Confucianism was founded by Confucius and his beliefs on the political and social order of China. Confucius believed that everything would fall into place if children had respect for their parents and if the rulers were honest. In Confucianism, specific roles were followed by each person in the family. The head of the family, the father, was the one primarily in control and then it was the oldest son that was next in line. Confucius had the belief that a ruler has to be everything he wants
Confucianism became popular during the Han Dynasty as it was the state religion and had a great impact on East Asia (Confucianism 1, pg. 7). Born in 551 BCE in the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, Confucius himself absorbed the teachings of Mahavira and the Buddha (Confucianism 1, pg. 2) He had a set of virtues that he believed a functioning society should stand by such as benevolence, love and rites. Confucius wanted China to return to the old days when people were loyal to their rulers and rulers were polite and caring towards their people. He believed rulers s...
Both religions in some form supported a caste-based system, however, Confucianism achieved this by writing about "filial piety", whereas the Laws of Manu depict the religious roles of each caste. "Filial piety is obedience"(Confucius). To elaborate, filial piety is the belief within Confucianism that "when parents are alive, children should serve their religiously" (Confucius). As a political leader, parents who support the dynasty will indoctrinate the youth with the same beliefs through filial piety. A great example of this is the Han dynasty. "The Han Dynasty accepted Daoism, and Confucianism when making political decisions and shaping government policy"(Parks). The Han dynasty then transitioned towards a full system supporting Confucianism, which became the "core of Chinese education"(Confucius). Confucius's ideas On the Gentleman suggested that "men who pursue riches and honors improperly should release the desire altogether"(Confucius). This portion of the document suggested that instead of trying to pursue riches he should instead "cling to virtue" (Confucius). Politically, this allowed lower caste members to become virtuous in fulfilling their role to the dynasty, no matter how small a role. When integrated with the dynasty, these ideals ultimately breed complacency across all social caste, which ultimately leads to an easier time deploying administrative decisions within the

Confucian ideals had a prominently drastic impact and influence in Japanese society. The Confucian ethical system stressed the utopian idea of a society in which a hierarchal structure is maintained. Confucianism is a moral and religious system of China. Its origins go back to the Analects, the sayings attributed to Confucius, and to ancient writings, including that of Mencius. Confucius was born a mandarin under the name Kongzi. It was developed around 550 B.C. In its earliest form Confucianism was primarily a system of ethical concepts for the control of society. It saw man as a social creature that is bound to his fellow men by jen, or “humanity.” Jen is expressed through the five relationships—sovereign and subject, parent and child, elder and younger brother, husband and wife, and friend and friend. Of these, the filial relation is most important.
In addition to the many different ways the followers of Islam spread the religion and expanded their empire, the religion itself was appealing to many people outside of Arabia. The Islamic religion contained many beliefs and practices that were extremely appealing to others. One of these beliefs was that Islam is an uncompromising monotheistic religion, meaning there is only one God. In addition, there was an extremely well and highly developed set of legal codes and a strong sense of community among the followers of Islam. The five pillars were also extremely appealing because they provided the basis for religious unity. The humbleness and prayerfulness of the Islamic people was admirable to those of other faiths.
In the Islamic faith there are five pillars that they must follow to their best ability. The Salaht, the Hajj, they must give to the poor, fasting during the month of Ramadan, and repetition of the creed, "There is no God but Allah; Muhammad is the messenger of Allah." These pillars are more like obligations in the Islamic religion.
The worship of Allah is principal in a Muslim’s mind at all time. There are also five formal acts of worship which help strengthen a the faith and obedience of a Muslim. They are frequently called the “Five Pillars of Islam”. The Five Pillars of Islam are the framework and guidelines of the Muslim life. These Five Pillars are the thing Muslim’s do to please God and to keep themselves well and happy in this lifetime and for the future ones to come. It was Prophet Muhammad, the founder of Islam, who was reported to have said, “Islam is based upon five pillars”.
For nearly 2000 years, Confucius has shaped social, political and educational aspect of Chinese culture. Confucianism is the biggest influence on education in China throughout the history of China. Confucianism is a system of ethics and philosophy developed by Confucius and his disciples. For two millenniums, the Chinese people emphasized Confucian ethics as the superior source of inspiration for human interaction at all levels between individual, subject and ruler. His philosophy was predominant in the heart of Chinese education, governance and moral ethics. Confucianism established the moral standard and ethical ideals in East Asia by creating the fundamental structure of virtue. As a result, his philosophy on virtue was integrated with politics, religions, education and psychology to prevent political chaos and social disorder (Yao 34-35).
Confucianism has had the largest influence on the Chinese way of living for over two millenniums. The moral philosopher Confucius, developed this way of thinking in order to try and change the way society was structured. The country used his ideas as a philosophy and a guide to morality and strong government. The ideals of a true gentleman are what Confucians try to attain while incorporating the five virtues of Jen, Li, Hsiao Ti, Chung-Su and I (Smith 1973, p 66). China has been hugely impacted by Confucianism and will most likely continue to be in the future because of the promising principles. Confucianism created cultural unification and social harmony in China as a philosophy, rather than a religion, and acted as a moral guide to a way of living in Chinese society.

The narrative dimension is also very important. this prayer must always be preceded by following the steps of washing their face hands and feet that can be done with sand when water is not available. Praying five times a day in a prescribed manner called the Salat. For many centuries, Confucianism has been widely revered by the Chinese for its emphasis on morality. Confucius, who lived from 551 to 479 BCE, is different to most philosophers in that he showed no interest questioning his existence, the possibility of a God, or the reality that he seemed to live in; instead he focused on the human relations side of philosophy as it was his belief that people should “give (themselves) earnestly to the duties due to men … (and) keep aloof from (spiritual beings)” (Confucius 195). By negating the metaphysical side of philosophy, he was able to devote himself to mold his disciples into ideal gentleman who were morally righteous, and were able to benefit society. He believed in the importance of individuals who knew their roles in an well-structured society, that was a feudal system. In his opinion, the ideal gentleman should be obedient to his elders, have humanness and be morally righteous. Through his teachings, he was able to reform an entire country; the Chinese found Confucianism to embody practices of humaneness that they could apply in their daily lives through his religion.
