1. Using specific examples from Jake’s lesson, first discuss whether Jake’s objectives were appropriate and then discuss whether each of his lesson objectives (psychomotor, cognitive, affective) and teacher objectives (stated below) were met.

Psychomotor: TSWBAT smoothly transition between three different body shapes while on a mat holding each shape for three seconds using tight muscles.

Yes, In Video four and five, the children do smoothly transition between three different body shapes, while on the mats he tell the children to hold each shape for three bananas (3 seconds). Jake goes over the different kinds of balances, and demonstrates each one, which are twisted balance, curled balance, narrow balance, and wide balance. He rotates throughout the class and gives each student individual attention. While they demonstrate their “First, Second, and Last” shape balance for three bananas. He corrects them or gives them pointers if the student is having trouble and encourages them when they do tasks correctly. At the end of the session he says “good job everybody”.

At the beginning of the lesson he was informing the kids, and he asked them if they were understanding it. He demonstrated at the end of the informing task exactly what they were to do. He then would ask the kids to go back to their mats and practice while he observed (extended task) them. After observing he went over to individual kids if they needed help or if the entire class needed help he would stop the class and refine the skills that the kids were having trouble with and went over the cues to remind the kids what they needed to do. Then he would have the children continue to practice (application task). He would then go back to rotating the class room to help the children, and encouraged them when they were demonstrating things
