It is April 15th, 1947. You watch as the first African-American in 60 years to step onto a Major League field. Half of the stadium is cheering, the others booing and screaming. Jackie Robinson was a hero to many and a very good baseball player.
As an example, Jackie was the first African-American to break the color barrier since 1880, before racism was a problem. In paragraphs 9 and 15, it states that “As he stepped onto the field as first baseman in 1947, he became the first Major League baseball player to break the color barrier since 1880.” Secondly, Jackie was good at almost every sport he played.
