Is climate change a problem for future generations? Waiting for future generations to deal with it is wrong because it is only getting worse, “most scientists agree that the earth's surface temperature has risen nearly one-degree Fahrenheit since the late 19th century. Scientists warn that rising temperatures would cause fiercer storms, rising seas, and dying forests and coral reefs” (Prince). Climate change should be dealt with now because once the situation worsens, natural disasters will cost current and future generations their homes and money to repair and recuperate the prior lifestyle. An example of this is Hurricane Katrina, which affected the lives of thousand and cost them their homes and belonging; those who had insurance …show more content…

Global Warming is affecting current and future generations, one of the primary causes is carbon emissions. However, these can be reduced by using renewable energy and making energy-efficient improvements.
“‘We may notice more hurricanes and heat waves than usual and become concerned about climate change, but we don't always know the best ways to reduce our emissions,’” (“Space daily”). Many individuals are not informed about climate change therefore believe nothing can be done about or that it is not real. It is important that those who have the funds to make changes such as installing solar panels do it, because the greater the demand the greater the supply at lower prices therefore more accessible to greater masses and will have a greater impact on climate change. “Curbing Climate Change” states that there is, “indeed some rational basis for hope” meaning that climate change is not a lost cause and it can be combatted (“Space daily”). What can be done? There are long-term and short-term changes; long-term changes being more efficient, such as insulating homes or driving hybrid cars and short-term changes being more accessible which …show more content…

What did he mean? Therefore elucidating the impression that he was saying yes climate change is a problem, but it is not only affecting the United States it is affecting the whole planet therefore someone else can deal with it. Furthermore if the United States is not going to deal with it because they believe other countries such as China should deal with it, but they are wrong because due to the United States being an industrialized country with more than enough funds to raise awareness about global warming. While China is a place known for its carbon emissions a lot of American production takes place there if an object in the United States is picked up and looked at where it was made it is likely to say made in China. If The United States is contributing to the carbon emission within America, but in addition to this in other countries then they should step up and deal with the issue, but they do not have to do it alone they can ask for help from other countries by outlining how it is affecting them. It is wrong to believe that someone else will deal with the problem and they are giving the
