Is a Degree Necessary in Today’s Society?In most cases, I believe that having a college degree is not necessary in order to obtain a job. Many people learn to rely on natural talents inside the workplace, such as his or her work ethic. It is also becoming increasingly difficult to find a job in the designated field of work forwhich a college degree would apply. Ralph Lauren dropped out of college to pursue his interest in fashion. Now he makes his own money, and he is happy with the decision he made. Also many people today are concerned with the expensive cost of obtaining a college degree. One cannot completely guarantee for himself or herself that all the time he or she puts into earning a college degree will be worth it. I believe that if it is not affordable at the time for an individual to pursue a college degree then he or she should not extend his or her best effort in trying to pursue such degree.In today’s society, it is much more challenging to find a job inside the designated field of work for which a specific degree would apply. A myriad of graduates are left unemployed due to this factor.
