Recommended: Ethnic and racial discrimination against immigrants

Iron triangles have a symbiotic relationship between interest groups, bureaucrats, and Congressmen; a bond strong enough to withstand the issues that they will not benefit from. The reason that racial profiling continues to happen is because there are not enough voices with enough political influence to change any policy or create new ones. Iron triangles are all invested within themselves that revolves around the wealthy and monetary value. Racial profiling happens when law enforcement uses someone’s race as a judgement with no probable cause otherwise. Americans are consumed by fear caused from crimes that were committed by other nationalities other than white (ACLU, 2017.) For example, after the terrorist attacks on September 11th, an American gets on the same plane with a Muslim and feels uncomfortable may call the police who arrest the person; this is racial profiling. It is not right, especially law enforcers, to judge someone based on their race or ethnicity when there is no suspicious activity. This fear has shaped Congressmen and bureaucrats into avoiding issues like racial profiling because it deals with facing the facts that American law enforcement are using races against people (ACLU, 2017). It is considered unheard of that a judge would side with a minority individual against law enforcement even though that may have been the right decision (ACLU, 2017). To make policies that are against racial profiling, minorities, and others, must prove that it happened and be able to debunk law enforcement agencies and their supporters (ACLU, 2017). It is nearly impossible because hardly any average American would agree that their law enforcement has been committing such a crime especially when minorities turn to options such as violence to be heard (ACLU, 2017). It is nearly impossible for minorities and other supporters to create policies, because Congressmen and bureaucrats support law enforcement and do not want to listen to the issues of the people who do not support the

    Law Enforcement policy is designed to help law enforcement agencies cut down on the amount of crime in communities and give structure to the agency. It also helps lessen the number of certain cases in certain areas, as well as from a certain group of people. There are several policies that I disagree with, but there is one policy I will be discussing. Law enforcement officers sometimes stop and frisk people based on gender, race, financial status, and social ranking. It is a very controversial issue because anything dealing with race and ethnicity can cause a lot of disagreement and discord. According to a New York judge on dealing with the stop and frisk laws, "If you got proof of inappropriate racial profiling in a good constitutional case, why don't you bring a lawsuit? You can certainly mark it as related . . . . I am sure I am going to get in trouble for saying it, for $65 you can bring that lawsuit" (Carter, 2013, pp.4). The stop and frisk law is one reason I do not believe in law enforcement profiling. Even though some law enforcement officers allow personal feelings and power to allow them to not follow policy, some policies are not followed morally because I do not feel that officers should be allowed to frisk someone who is innocent and has not committed a crime because it takes the focus off real criminals and onto innocent people; it causes emotional stress. I know because I have been through this several times.
