Subjects like creation of art, music, dance, sporting activity and literature should be made fundamental part of every school’s pre-K to 12th grade curriculum because it expands and amplify the knowledge of the students and the students have a better intellection. According to Smith (2009), “Involvement in the arts is associated with gains in math, reading, cognitive ability, critical thinking, and verbal skill”. Arts will help the student hone their skills in different learning categories. One of the aspect of art is creativity and this makes the student do better by widely thinking. In addition, the report from The Center for Arts Education (2009), “Analyzing data from more than 200 New York City schools over a two-year period, this report shows that schools in the top third in graduation rates offered their students the most access to arts education and the most resources that support arts education”. The more they are involved in arts, the student develop the focus to finish school. The graduation rates is high on those involved in arts because they want to continue their education. The passion that the arts stirs in their intellect drives them to do more. According to Norobi (2012), “Arts integration uses teaching practices that have been shown in brain-based research to improve comprehension and long-term retention”. The more they are involved in arts music, dance, sporting activity and literature the more the students understand the world around them. The students comprehend differently because of the way they understand the things around them that involved music, dance, sporting activity and literature. It is proven that it enhances the student’s knowledge and based on the finding the students do better at school with the integrated learning they gain from incorporating all these subjects in the students academic plan. Considering the facts that it boost up the intellectual mind of the students is what suggest that we should keep art, music, dance, sporting activity and literature in our school system. This will help our students prepare for their long journey ahead in life and this also determines what they wanted to do if they want to achieve a higher education. The students will find their niche in any of art, music, dance, sporting activity and literature, they can start a career in a certain field. Its either they can be a great artist, musician, dancer or a sports star if they can develop such skills in the particular matter. The bearings that this subjects has conclude who they are and at a very young age they are introduced to this subjects, chances are they are going to be so much better in the area of art, music, dance, sporting activity and literature. These subjects also teaches many things and it helps the students to apply this in different subjects at school.
