The 1920s had many inventions which included things such as airplanes, automobiles, washing machines, refrigerators, and even radios. Along with this list of inventions also came packaged and processed foods. Foods such as popsicles, candy bars, and potato chips were just a few of the thousands of the new packaged foods produced in the 1920s. Many of these foods were designed to make meal preparation easier and faster, especially for the middle-class women of this generation. As a result, women were spending less time in the kitchen preparing meals for their family.
