Gryphon Interpretive work In “Gryphon” by Charles Baxter the main character, Tommy who likes unique and interesting things gets a mysterious substitute named Mrs. Ferenczi who is much different than any other substitute in Five Oaks. Five Oaks is an average place and not many major and interesting events happen and the teachers would just give the student’s worksheet. Although Mrs.Ferenczi tells the student’s in Tommy’s class all types of unknown stories. She lies” said Carl Whiteside who had bad breath and was sitting in the back seat with Tommy. Tommy disagreed to Carl and said that she wasn’t lying. Tommy than of a brilliant idea and made up a hamster story to protect Mrs.Ferenczi’s weirdness.Tommy shows that he really likes Mrs.Ferenczi
