Chapter eleven has very important key concepts when dealing with managing interpersonal conflicts. In order to realize how beneficial it is to incorporate the right set of communication skills in our daily lives, we must learn about some of the conflict styles that can arise when being in certain relationships. It’s easy to see throughout the movie Adam and Emma’s relationship have a parallel conflict style where both people shift there behaviors from one issue to another just most other relationships. Most often we see people use accommodating a lose-win factor, to handle and resolve the issue in the most calming way possible. It is clear to see how improving communication climates, interpersonal communication in close relationships, communication and relational dynamics intertwine with each other. Which are just the basics for understanding how to have good communication skills in relationships. When being in a part of a family, friendship, work mate, or romantic relationship it is crucial to know where your relationship stands between one another. Each relationship is important, that is more vulnerable than others due to their uniqueness, availability, and loyalty. Whether it is a personal or social relationship, they all began going through the coming together stages of relational development. This communication allows us to test our potential and current relational relations by initiating, experimenting, intensifying, integrating, and bonding.
