Going up is hard, going up is hard sometimes especially when you grew up and move to a new place. A similar perspective comes from Inside Out; this movie was released in 2015 by Walt Disney Pictures and was produced by Pixar Animation Studios. In addition, this animation was directed by Pete Docter. The story is about a young girl who moved to another city, so she has to adapt herself to a new environment and a new society, which is a tough time for her. The story is very creative and touching, and the characters are interesting. Moreover, the theme of this movie taught me to understand life better. According to Matt Zoller Seitz, he says, “It's clear that the filmmakers have studied actual psychology because the movie shows how things can be remembered with joy, sadness, anger, fear or disgust, depending on where we are in the narrative of our lives and what part of a memory we fixate on.” Basically, Seitz is saying the filmmakers of Inside Out learned a psychological principle before making this movie, so they understood how emotions influence human’s memories and clarified it in the movie. I agree with him that Inside Out is a smart animation because the movie was explained difficult psychology theories in a less complicated way for the reader to better understand the how human brain responds to the emotions by bringing cute visuals to the readers. Other people also review that Inside Out is different from other animations because this animation has no hero and villain unlike we often see on many animations. As James Berardinelli notes, “Inside Out has no villain, so the narrative isn't about defeating a bad guy; it's about a bunch of mismatched creatures attempting to restore balance.” He states that the story of the movie is focusing on how people deal with their own emotions rather than fighting for justice. I agree that Inside Out is different from other animations because most animations often have good characters fighting with bad characters.
