Inner Journey and Benigini's Life is Beautiful
All of life is a journey. All Journeys have a beginning and an end.
All the outcomes that are associated with journey are the results of
the choices that we make in out daily lives, good or bad that have to
be lives with. In the Macquarie dictionary journey is defined as: - The
exploration into one’s self. It offers growth & development through
emotional pilgrimage and provides new insights for the mind and
spirit. Throughout this essay I will be referring to our prescribed
text ‘Life is Beautiful’ by Roberto Benigini, an image about
reconciliation shaping our future titled, ‘The roads we choose’. And a
poem titled ‘The Road not taken’ by Robert Frost.
Although the film ‘Life is Beautiful’ is not a film that I usually
see, I much rather the films that are made in Hollywood. But this
movie has made me think. This movie really coveys the true meaning of
inner journey, to me journey really means to travel, but the inner
journey involves the exploration of the self, their mind and spirit.
The poem ‘The Road not taken’ by Robert frost was written in 1914 when
frost went to visit his family friends in England. The poem uses
simple languages so explore complex ideas and issues, the concept of
inner journey was used to metaphorically represent the basic choices
in life that all people face regardless of time or place. Frost has
used the traditional form of poetry to present an incident in his life
‘Two roads diverge in a yellow wood. And sorry I could not travel
both’ where a decision has h...

picture there are two hand reach out for each other, each hand is
aimed at one another this symbolises that the hands want to travel
together on the path that they choose to take for any reason good or
bad. Once you start to travel on one path it is difficult to turn back
and change your direction of your future.
As we can see from the two related text talked about earlier its is
seen that there are two paths that can be chosen to be explore but in
the film ‘Life is Beautiful’ Guido doesn’t have a choice, Guido is
forces to go to war, his forces to attend the concentration camp but
nothing could be done to stop Guido and Joshua from going to war. I
end in saying the inner journey involves the exploration of the self,
their mind and spirit.
Take Happiness or Freedom for example, the one choice that truly marks your life pathway in this modern world in what I like to call, hell on Earth. Hello my Name is Dan today is a truly disturbing day for humanity as I will show you just how much different we really are compared to the ghastly book that proposes such non-sense.
Growing up our parents taught us several lessons about life values and principles that we are supposed to follow. We learn that human life is precious, we learn that we are all equal, we...
Dangers and months of preparation aside, the American Discovery Trail it is a life changing event for anyone who decides to tackle the vigorous trail. When an individual sets out to cover over 6,000 miles, with nothing but the pack on his back, himself, and the wilderness around them, they find out things about themselves that they never knew. Nature has a way of helping people push themselves to the brink so that they may find themselves in the end. For anyone who is in the process of wanting to find themselves, needs a break, or simply wants a challenge, do the research and tackle the American Discovery Trail.
Having thousands of thoughts going through your mind, one by one creating different emotions that cause you to either be silent never knowing what the outcome might’ve been, or have the courage to speak out and express what you believe is right. Many people make the mistake of letting the rebellious fear take control of their mind but, I think that standing up for what you believe in is an essential factor of life.

I came across two roads that diverged in a yellow wood---I was sorry I could not travel both since I was only one traveler; I stood there looking down one path as far as I could to where it bent in the undergrowth and then I took a look down the other path which seemed just as fair, being all grassy and wanted wear, but really both paths had been worn about the same.
None of the paths are even and straight, all have twists and turns, ups and downs; some more so than others. Of course the bends in the paths made it impossible to see all the way down them. You can never predict where a forest path will lead. The trees cry out to her, beginning her to take their own path, weaving tales of joy, happiness and fun to persuade her to turn their way. Not knowing whether she should have turned left or right, she continues straight ahead, determined to find her way home.
nature of many of the aspects of human existence which we tend to hold very dear.
The Road Not Taken consists of four stanzas of five lines. The rhyme scheme is ABAAB. There are four stressed syllables per line, all lines start with capital letter and proper grammar. From the very first line of the poem, the narrator introduces the reader to the split in the road “two roads diverged in a yellow wood” meaning that the season in the forest is autumn and “roads diverged” is a metaphor for choice. The choice the poet had to make between the
Decisions, we make them every day. For example, we select what to consume and what clothes to put on but some judgments are more important than what you eat and what you wear. A decision can mean life or death. We try to make correct choices, but what makes a decision right? We are influenced by people, books, and stories. As Elie Wiesel once said, “Let us not forget, after all, that there is always a moment when the moral choice is made. Often because of one story or one book or one person, we are able to make a different choice, a choice for humanity, for life.”
One common misconception made by those who read this piece is that the road the speaker chooses to take is truly “the one less traveled by” (Frost 19). In reality, both roads are covered in equal amounts of grass and leaves. The footsteps of other travelers had worn them “really about the same” (10) and so the choice made by the speaker was really not affected by the appearance of either path. The road taken was not actually less worn than the other.
In life we are faced with challenges and choices. Do we choose the path that seems easier or the path that is harder? Do we choose to follow our hearts or someone else’s? Do we think about how it will affect us and our loved ones or do we just go with it? Do life choices change our fate?
A traveler comes upon "two road deversised in a yellow wood" He is at a cross road point in his life. He is unable to take both paths at once and must make a decision which way he would like to go or how to live his life. He must decide but is remorseful as he states "And sorry I could not travel both". This decision is always difficult to make because it is impossible not to wonder at the cost of taking this path over that one. He can not help but wonder what he will miss if he chooses this road over that one .There is regret before the choice is ever made. He relaxes that in one lifetime it is impossible to travel down both roads and he has a difficult choice to make and is carefully considering his options as well as wondering were each could lead . In attempting to make this decision the traveler "looks down one as far as I could," trying to see the future and were this road might lead. Both roads lead to the unknown and although he tries to see as far as the road stretches he cannot see where it is going to lead. It is the way he chooses that sets him of on his journey of life and determines were he is going.
The road can take many shapes and many forms, but for today we will talk of a more simple kind of road. A road that guides pedestrians through a park. The city park is the perfect intercourse between nature and the urban. It is the unspoken hero of the urbanite. As the seasons wax and wane as do the nature of the surrounding nature. Even the surrounding wildlife will come and go as all that is green turns gray. Although the road is an ageless guardian that will lead urbanites through the
Yet, the gauge we use to define these things, or the level of importance they hold in our lives, can be dangerous. Again, what is our value system?
