Cancer is a little timer that hits you in the face and informs you that, “You are only a mortal." For a fact, not all cancer can lead to death, such as benign tumors, but most are life threatening. In estimate, there were about five hundred eighty-nine thousand four hundred and thirty (589,430) cancer deaths in the United States during the year 2015 and a total of one million six hundred fifty-eight thousand three hundred and seventy (1,658,370) new cases of cancer diagnosed. Today, cancer is a growing disease everywhere, but it is so intriguing because of the amount of people that still survive based on the medication and the knowledge we have.
To begin with, cancer, itself, is a unique and engrossing matter. Every day of every second, cells in our bodies are developing and decaying, but sometimes one cell goes out of control and makes more of what is needed because it does not have density-dependent inhibition. As far as I understand, cancer is the only disease that humans cannot be fully accused of causing. Indeed, we are in control of eating unhealthy foods, not exercising, drinking alcohol, doing drugs, and smoking, which may cause cancer, but this menacing illness may just flourish because of one irregular cell or genetic traits a person carries. …show more content…

A person must go through several sessions with their doctor to, hopefully, cure this disease. I am very fascinated in how the studies and the technologies have grown to unravel the cancers that develop in a person. Fortunately, because of this, cancer death rates have declined significantly since the 1900’s and now there is a better understanding of the medication and treatments that should be taken and followed through.
