Introduction I bet many of you have heard a general statement, or idea of Alzheimer’s. I am going to make you understand what it actually is and how is affects people physically and mentally. I know that this is a disease that does not develop because of old age. You would get this disease if someone in your family had it before. It does not automatically mean you will get it but there is a pretty good chance you will. Which is something my mom worries about since her mother had it. The reason for me choosing this topic is because of my grandmother her having this disease and dying of it. I already have some information of this disease like, the most common symptom is difficulty remembering newly learned information because Alzheimer’s changes typically begin in the part of the brain that affects learning. It advances through the brain which leads to increasingly severe symptoms, some being disorientation, mood and behavior changes, and deepening confusion about events. These symptoms usually develop slowly and get worse over time, being severe enough to interfere with daily tasks. These symptoms affect a lot of citizens, mostly in ages 65 and older after already getting the disease. I find it is very sad that people of that age have to deal with this, the saddest part about this disease is there is no cure. It really gets to me that there is no cure, so once you get it you basically know hard times are coming. My feelings for this topic are conflicted because knowing people go through this kind of stuff everyday when I take my health for granted. My grandmother was healthy all her life: exercise, eating healthy, and mentally but yet she was as sick as she could be before she passed away. Although there are medications for this disease my overall question I really want to answer throughout my search is, is there ever going to be a cure for this terrible
