How To Avoid Writing An Inconsistently Weighted Essay

An inconsistently weighted essay is one that gives too much focus and too much word count to one issue when the essay is supposed to deal with an issue from various angles. It involves putting too much into one area so that the other areas have to be lighter in order to fit the word count. If you find yourself stuck in this position, then try to add a new point that supports your hypothesis and gives your essay a little more depth. If you cannot do this, then go over your other sections and see if there are more ideas, examples and citations you can add. Look especially hard for ways you can produce more evidence for the ideas and facts you placed in your essay.
