Human Resource Management ensures that a business has the right staff with the right skills, at the right time, who are committed and motivated to give their best to the business.
Human Resource Management is important to Tesco because as a result of good Human Resource Management, a firm will have a committed, motivated, enthusiastic, productive workforce, who enjoy their work and work to the best of their ability. This improves productivity and profits for the firm.

Employees are an essential resource for businesses. Tesco simply wouldn’t function without its employees because there would be nobody to operate the various stores around the country.

Particularly around Christmas time, TV adverts will be used to attract people to shop in Tesco because they have such a wide range of departments (food, clothing, electrical, mobile etc.)

My chosen organisation was Tesco Ireland from the retail sector. Tesco Ireland is a private limited company with 148 stores throughout Ireland and has served customers for over 55 years. Tesco’s reputation has been earned through years of fresh food quality, strong value offers, branching into broad markets, the consistent support of local producers and the expertise of the customer service.
Tesco’s catchphrase is ‘Every Little Helps’

Conclusion
I enjoyed carrying out this project. I found it interesting to research into a company as that was not something I had done before. I liked being able to link information I found about the company back to the theory we learned in class as I felt I understood it better then. I found it difficult to get some of the information, so I contacted Tesco and they provided me with the information.
