To begin to explain my ideal daycare for my children I would want to meet with all the staff. The staff would have to present themselves with a warm and welcoming presence. If the staff presents themselves this way I feel like my kids would feel free and able to express themselves in whatever activities that the daycare providers have planned for that day. The children may even learn from the staff how they want to be treated and how they want to treat others. If my kids are allowed to do that then I feel as if they will gain a sense of self of who they really are. Cognitive development would be asserted in the daily activities. I would like the care providers to work with my children on understanding certain things that they may need help on with their school work. The staff member could take a one- on- one session with my child to read a small book with them and help with pronouncing words. If my children were younger in age I would want them to do fun learning activities like have the kids draw a picture and then make it into a puzzle, maybe go outside with chalk and do a large connect …show more content…

I would want them to have at least an hour of exercise. If it happened to be a rainy day and the children couldn’t go outside I would like for the staff to have an alternate exercise for the kids such as, stretching, a scavenger hunt, create a game in which they have to keep the balloon off the ground, or maybe an obstacle course. Through these games they would also gain development through play. The kids might have to work with a partner to find objects in the scavenger hunt. For nutritional needs I would like for them to have mostly healthy foods if possible. I would like for them to have fruits and vegetables and a sandwich of some kind. And one day out of every week they can have a surprise day where the kids get ice cream or a small candy
